The 2012 Ride to Remember
850 motorcycles and over 1,000 patriotic Americans gathered at Cycle World of Athens on Sunday morning, September 9, 2012 for a memorial ride to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11 and those who’ve lost their lives since in the line of duty – whether on American soil or foreign.
The FREE ride, sponsored by Cycle World of Athens, wound through the North Georgia Mountains and arrived at The Lodge at Copperhead for lunch. Live music by Keren Leppo filled the air as many volunteers worked feverishly to feed the crowd.
