When visiting the North Georgia Mountains, this is a not to be missed site. Stay at The Lodge at Copperhead and enjoy all the mountains have to offer.
A popular destination for day-hikers, Benton MacKaye Trail through hikers, and paddlers making the journey down the Toccoa River Canoe Trail is the swinging bridge over the Toccoa River. This 265 foot long bridge is the longest swinging bridge east of the Mississippi River. In 1976 the Forest Service, along with the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club replaced a dangerous ford of the Toccoa River in this area. The bridge, built by a private contractor, was completed in 1977 and has become a landmark in Fannin County and a popular camping spot in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area. The Benton MacKaye Trail and the swinging bridge are only open to foot traffic. Camping by the Toccoa River on either side of the river is extremely popular and it is unmanaged. Plan on a weekday visit to secure a site.
Swinging Bridge Directions: From The Lodge at Copperhead, take Hwy 515 west to Hwy 60/Morganton. In Morganton, follow Hwy 60 South toward Dahlonega for 11.3 miles passing Skeenah Mill. Another .7 miles on the right is FS 816. Turn right and follow the gravel road 3 miles to the parking area. Short hike down to the Toccoa River and the Swinging Bridge.

The professional writers WOW the audience with their superior musicianship and open themselves up personally.
About The Performers:
JACK & DIANE – Jack & Diane’s life plays out like a song we all know so well. As a married couple, the combination of their music and love for one another immediately resonates with an audience. Most refer to their music as a “bluesy, more soulful style of country.” With her heaviest vocal influences being Artists like Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Nicks, one announcer told an audience that “Diane’s voice is as smooth as warm butter”. Jack, who formerly toured with Artists like George Thorogood and Brian Setzer, is revered as a tasteful and impressive guitar player/multi-instrumentalist.
DANI CARROLL– From her touching lyrics to her moving melodies, there is no doubt that the pure raw emotion in Dani’s music is a rare thing. Dani is revisiting her first love, Jazz, with a CD release this Spring. Dani has worked with such Nashville greats as David Malloy, producer for Reba McIntyre, Dolly Parton, and Mindy McCready; Mark Collie, a #1 charting country artist and songwriter; John Jarvis, two-time Grammy winning songwriter; and Skip Ewing, a Grammy nominated country artist and songwriter with over twelve #1’s to his credit. Dani performed often with Elektra recording artist Jason Mraz [“The Remedy,” “You and I Both”] in San Diego, her hometown. Making the move to Nashville in 2002 and inking a deal with Famous Music Publishing, Dani continues to write songs with some of Music Row’s top talent. Her distinctive alto voice and awe-inspiring presence on stage makes her performances a memorable experience for audiences everywhere.
MASON DOUGLAS possesses a distinguished diversity, sounding like Chris Isaak with his signature, sexy falsettos; like Garth Brooks with his honesty & range; & others even say he’s ‘country music’s Rob Thomas’. Mason has: showcased at the Ryman Auditorium; opened for Trace Adkins, James Otto, & Jewel; continued radio airplay with the song “Home Free”; released his 2010 debut CD on Rural Rhythm Records. Mason is: a HUGE military supporter; originally from Tucson, Arizona; a diehard Arizona Wildcats & Dallas Cowboys fan; a red wine lover.
JUSTIN ZIMMER – With his boyish grin, impressive vocals, and sought-after guitar chops, Justin is a memorable Artist that grabs the instant attention of the audience. Fresh off the Tiffany tour which included ABC’s Good Morning America and The View, Justin’s impeccable talent pales in comparison only to his genuine and humble nature.
