Celebrating 4th of July – Mountain style

It’s a time honored tradition to celebrate the birthday of The United States of America on Independence Day, July 4th with outdoor events including music, great food & drinks, plus fireworks displays.  This year’s celebration at The Lodge at Copperhead was no exception.
The holiday weekend celebration held resort guests and regional visitors captive with non-stop activities with the restaurant dishing out award-winning entrees and beverages to fit the occasion.

Many resort guests opted for whitewater rafting, kayaking, boating, golfing, or running The Gauntlet, North Georgia newest riding/driving attraction.  Still others enjoyed their favorite frozen drinks pool side.  Just a matter of choice of the things to see and do to enjoy the holiday.

Mike Watson – Mike Watson Band – Entertained Guests Pool Side
The popular singer and recording artist Mike Watson of Mike Watson Band performed pool side to everyone’s delight.  From requested songs like Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville,” Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight,” Van Morrison’s “Tupelo Honey” to original music from his latest CD “Down to the River.”  Mike and the Mike Watson Band will perform July 16th, 6-9pm.  Reserve your lodging and dinner seating now.

Fourth of July Fireworks
The fireworks display was launched by the singing of God Bless America by the talented up and coming singer, Nadia Choucair.  The fireworks team of Anthony Cassulo, Charles & Ericka Rich, Brad Betters and Dennis Brock kept the fuses lit for fireworks that kept onlookers in awe for a 35 minute spectacular display.  A rich baritone voice filled the air when Anthony Cassulo began singing The National Anthem as the final burst of color filled the sky.
