Mike Watson Band to perform at The Lodge at Copperhead
BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. (July 15, 2011) The popular Mike Watson and the Mike Watson Band will perform Saturday, July 16th, 6 p.m. at The Lodge at Copperhead. Resort guests and visitors can expect dance music with tunes from such great artists as: Merle Haggard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, The Allman Brothers, Neil McCoy, B.B. King, Elmore James, and Muddy Waters. Mike Watson has written many songs that have become crowd favorites over the years, such as, Biscuit On My Mind, Lonely Here Tonight, That’s Just The Way My Luck Has Always Been, Juanita, Juanita, The Grass Is Never Greener, including his latest release, Down To The River.
Mike has performed music virtually his entire life, from his hometown in Bowdon, Georgia and the Atlanta area, covering thousands of miles over the years throughout the United States. It’s a time honored tradition to celebrate the birthday of The United States of America on Independence Day, July 4th with outdoor events including music, great food & drinks, plus fireworks displays. This year’s celebration at The Lodge at Copperhead was no exception.
The holiday weekend celebration held resort guests and regional visitors captive with non-stop activities with the restaurant dishing out award-winning entrees and beverages to fit the occasion.
Many resort guests opted for whitewater rafting, kayaking, boating, golfing, or running The Gauntlet, North Georgia newest riding/driving attraction. Still others enjoyed their favorite frozen drinks pool side. Just a matter of choice of the things to see and do to enjoy the holiday.
