Blairsville, GA, April 13, 2012 – Bikers “Helping Hands” Treasure Hunt on April 7th was a rumbling success. Locals fighting cancer were supported in a LOUD way as 78 registered riders and numerous community sponsors raised $5,817.75. Local favorite Modern Vinyl entertained the crowd as they enjoyed the Car & Bike Show.
The Lodge at Copperhead teamed-up with the Helping Hands Foundation and Georgia Cancer Specialists to raise money for Blairsville and Blue Ridge, GA cancer patients. Founder of Helping Hands for Lung Cancer, Inc., Dr. Bridget Rossi, said how pleased they were with the success of this inaugural event and that they already have patients with financial needs applying for assistance. Michelle Evans, spokesperson for The Lodge, expressed appreciation for all the participants and gave a gracious thank-you to the many community sponsors and volunteers who helped make this event a success.
